Russian PPSh-41 Semi-Automatic Rifle
[FIRUPPSH41]

$795.00

While the price is a bit high for what realistically is only a fun plinker, I'm very glad I got mine!

The drum and mags I got with the gun from MGS worked perfectly out of the box. The extra drum I got from CDNN needed some fitting and work to feed, but I think I've got it feeding now.

On both drums the follower had "jumped the spiral" so I could only wind 4 clicks instead of 8 to load. Once I realized the issue it was easy to remover the follower screw, rewind the spiral, and re-install the follower so I could wind 8 clicks and load 71 rounds.

They did a great job keeping the take down authentic -- no pins to drive out or pivot pins to remove, just push the rear cover latch forward and tilt the barrel down to open the action for cleaning. A very good feature considering most 7.62x25 ammo out there is corrosive.

I could not budge the rear cover before shooting so I was a bit unsure as to the method of take down based on web searches that returned results for the Inter Ordnance version, happy to say MGS had it done right. After shooting the first couple of hundred rounds, when I got home the cover moved forward easy enough and locked back nice and tight when reassembled.

The ultimate in high capacity fun and surplus 7.62x25 ammo is still available at reasonable (cheaper than WalMart 9mm) prices.
